My name is Hamish, and I’m the person behind Windy Ridge Woodwork. I work from my workshop in Rugby, Warwickshire, building pieces around family life and my day job and I specialise in hand crafted hardwood products for your home. 

I first started Woodworking around age 10 as something creative to do but as you do at that age I found other things to do. After a short 20 year break… I came back to it. But this time for a more important reason, as a something to help ground me and focus on my mental health. It’s something that allows me to really focus, channeling my creativity into every workpiece. 

Windy Ridge Woodwork is built on a simple idea: to create handmade, bespoke pieces that feel considered, personal, and made to last. I work with quality hardwoods, allowing the natural character of the material to guide each project, so no two pieces are ever quite the same.

Most of the work I create starts with a conversation. Sometimes it’s a clear idea, sometimes it’s just the beginning of one. Either way, I enjoy shaping that into something real — a piece that fits your home and feels like it belongs there.
